This video project began as a way for me to cope and stay busy during our time in the ICU. I took photos every day, aware of how fragile Lucas was and how uncertain each tomorrow could be. Each snapshot became a daily reminder to cherish every moment and make each day count.

Over the years, these videos have grown into a journal of our story—the highs, the lows, the milestones, the laughter, and the incredible people who have supported us along the way. What I never expected was how much Lucas would love them. He enjoys watching the videos, dancing to the music, and pausing to ask about the people in the photos. Through those moments, I get to share with him the stories of the amazing doctors, nurses, friends, teachers, and therapists who have been part of our journey. He looks forward to a new video each year, and anyone who knows me knows I’m never without a camera or phone to capture moments. Now he even reminds me when there’s a moment he wants to save or a song he wants included.

As I gather photos and videos for the 10th chapter, I’m overwhelmed with emotion—grateful, amazed, and still full of hope, never imagining back then that we would be here today. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and followed our journey. We can’t wait to share what’s still ahead!
